Could Joost be the future of online television? I don't know, but I would love to see what all the fuss is about. I wanted an invite and come to find out there is a HUGE waiting list. So, I decided to do a little search on Joost invite. I found out that Brent Roos http://brentroos.com/2007/02/16/joost-invitation/ having a great contest to giveaway his invites. So, here I am trying to be one of the lucky ones who get one. Check out the rest of Brent's blog I went looking for an invite and found something new to read. It's funny and smart and I'm not just sucking up. ;) Check out this post with a very funny video. http://brentroos.com/2007/03/07/help-the-police/
Joost is no YouTube, you won't find any user submitted videos and thank god it's not being run by google. Joost is a new online video site that may revolutionize how we watch network television. Formerly known by the code name The Venice Project, Joost is being launched by Janus Friis and Niklas Zennstrom also responsible for Kazaa and Skype and there has been plenty of buzz about it. I've heard that Joost is going to be a hit not only because you can watch TV on your computer, but because it's easy to use. Just download the free software and get ready to watch. From what I've gathered a deal with Viacom is already in place and Joost will be airing great things like MTV and Comedy Central, as well as Paramount movies. Some programming will even be real time. Joost may soon be the answer for those of us who love to watch TV, but can't be tuned in every single second of the day. That's good for me because with 2 kids I barely have time to sit down. I'm stuck hoping for reruns or that the networks put the show up on their site. I really want to try this out and that's why I'm hoping I get an invite soon. Thanks for considering me.
